Mid Peninsula's Branstrom Reaches Milestone
Mid Peninsula High School basketball player Brett Branstrom crossed the 1,000 point mark in his career Thursday as the Wolverines upset the Superior Central Cougars, 58-51, in a Skyline/Central U.P. conference contest.
Branstrom scored 20 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the victory. This follows his 25-point, 24-rebound performance earlier this week in a win over Big Bay deNoc.
Branstrom, named one of the Top 100 players in the state before the season by the Detroit newspaper, is only a junior, so that point total will go even higher before he graduates.
